Action scenes are a critical component of any Phantom story, so how does a comics creator seek authenticity, credibility, and high-level danger and originality in combat scenes and thrill sequences? The answer is to consult a stunt performer. Phantom writer Julie Ditrich and film and TV stunt performer Alex Jewson discuss how they collaborate, the psychology of fight scenes, and the dramatic and emotional effects they are seeking when choreographing action for comic book pages. The psychology of fight scenes may seem a different idea to some, but the Phantom is not like normal superheroes. He does not have superpowers; he moves differently, he behaves differently, and we spend an hour going full on nerdy about how the Phantom behaves while in a fight. This is a fascinating subject. The Swedish publisher Egmont has released a new hardcover collection of Phantom stories. This series will be released every quarter and will replace the old Fantomen - Den inbundna årgången ( Fantomen - Year's issues in Hardcover ) series that ended in December 2024. This new series will be a similar concept to the popular 100-issue 1990 series collecting all the past Phantom stories. That series was called " Fantomen Krönika " and ended in 2010. However, this new series will be slightly different and will be a great companion piece to the original series. This series will be one book per Phantom, collecting selected stories about that generational Phantom. This " The Historical Stories of The Phantom " series will be in hardcover format at 349 kr plus postage, and each book will be approximately 160 pages and in black and white. The first book has a special price of 199 kr plus postage. Subscribe to the series via the Dintidning website The first issue will cost approximately $45AUD, $30USD, €25 and 2,400INR. The other issues will cost approximately $70AUD, $45USD, €40 and 3,800INR. At this stage there is no word on exactly how many editions this series will be. Will it just do the past Phantoms and stop at 20? Will it collect the stories for future generations of Phantoms'? It will take the editorial team at Fantomen until the end of 2030 for them to get to the 20th Phantom—time will tell. The cover of issue one is by Hans Lindahl and was used as the cover on the original 1993 Fantomen Kronika 1 and is an obvious choice to be used again. Acclaimed artist George Kambadais has stepped in for this next arc of the story, taking over duties from current series artist John Amor . Phantom 2040: A New Shadow episode 6 catches readers up to the events in episode 1 and kicks off the next arc in this new webcomic series from Comics Kingdom . The issue features the following stories that is a mix of stories first published in the USA by by Charlton Comics in the1970's, DC Comics in the late 1980's and a modern day Daily newspaper story. This comic is of great value with 100 pages of comics in full colour on great-quality paper for 10€. This magazine sees Zauberstern  reusing a past cover instead of creating their own new covers, which they have done previously and seems to be done more and more often. Do you prefer the publisher creating their own unique covers? This cover was created by Luke McDonnell  and was originally used as the cover #8 for the DC Comics series, originally published in 1989. Again, like previous issues, Zauberstern re-use another cover for a double page poster from artist Timo Wuerz for his Zauberstern Phantom Spezial #1. While the printing and colours are of top quality, it was hard to read the coloured text boxes of the two DC Comics  stories. The " Das Klippenkönigreich " (" The Cliff Kingdom ") by Don Jon Arneson and Jim Aparo was previously published in a Bastei comic in red, black and white. Back in September, we had a long-awaited update on the XBOX release of The Phantom game , which released on Steam , Playstation , and Nintendo Switch back on March 12, 2025. After much back-and-forth with the Microsoft team, including problems with being provided the wrong developer kit and a lack of support that arose from layoffs on Microsoft's side, Art of Play Director Ash Nicholls noted that they had a final version of the game. At the time of our last update, this final version of the game was waiting for approval from Microsoft to move forward. As of early November, at long last, Art of Play can offer another update. The Phantom will officially launch on XBOX on December 5th, 2025. For those XBOX gamers who missed the first preorder phase, The Phantom will be available for preorder on November 21st, 2025. For those who have already preordered the game, Art of Play is awaiting keys from Microsoft. Per Art of Play 's update on Facebook , " Keys are on their way to us. They will be sent out as soon as they hit our in-box ." The Phantom and Diana Palmer leap into action in The Phantom game from Art of Play For Players on Other Consoles, There's News For You, Too A system update is coming to gamers across other platforms. We'll have an update once we know more. Art of Play is also planning on bringing The Phantom game to XSolla in December as well.

Thanks to the featured writer from the series Bernd Frenz , we have been given a glimpse of the second Phantom volume from Zack . For those who came in late, Zack published their first volume in November 2024 ( our review ), and this second one was released in October 2025.
