Christian Moller reviews the third Austrian Phantom comic from the newest magazine series from Art:9. The magazine was first released in shops at the end of November 2025. Apart from "Kleiner Toma" ("Little Toma") being published in 1972 in West Germany, this is the first time that these stories have been published not only in Austria but also in Germany and Switzerland, where this series is also available for sale.
"Kleiner Toma" ("Little Toma") by Lee Falk and Ray Moore
"Der Gefangene des Himalaya" ("The Prisoner of the Himalayas") by Lee Falk and Ray Moore
"Abenteuer in Algier" ("Adventure in Algiers") by Lee Falk and Ray Moore
You can order your copy of this from the Art:9 website. They also sell their comics from shops throughout Germany and Switzerland. This issue costs 21 Euro, the stories are in black and white, and this issue is 145 pages. The paper quality is thick and printed in the same quality and format as the Hermes Press format which some phans may be more familiar with.
This edition includes a two-page editorial piece about these stories. This video also includes a brief comparison of the two printing qualities of the "Kleiner Toma" ("Little Toma") story between the modern print and the 1972 issue.
Issue #4 is out in January 2026 and features the following stories:
"Shark's Nest" ("The Shark's Nest") by Lee Falk and Ray Moore
"Perlenfischer" ("Fishers of Pearls") by Lee Falk and Ray Moore
"Die Sklavenhändler" ("The Slave Traders") by Lee Falk and Ray Moore
