Frew is celebrating their number 2000 comic at Supanova Sydney plus will have loads of goodies for all the phans to buy. For those who came in late, Sydney Supanova is the religious Phantom weekend that dozens of phans from around Australia gather. Along with Frew attending with a booth, you also have several artists with Phantom credits attending as well as Billy Zane.
If you would like to learn more about this weekend, we recommend reading this article which outlines all the guests attending, the weekend phan gatherings and the famous LFMBEC charity dinner.
This article will outline what new products Frew will have for sale at their booth. If you are not attending the weekend, they will be available for sale on the website afterwards.
Frew's number 2000 comic
Please note, this is not issue 2000th but number 2000. For those who came in late, Frew had a number of special A issues back in the 1980's which was clever as it allows Frew to celebrate their milestone issues twice.
There will be 6x stories included in this bumper annual sized issue. The issue will be in full colour and 228 pages in total.
"The Golden Circle" by Lee Falk and Ray Moore (coloured by Ivan Pedersen)
"Sequel: Return of the Golden Circle (4 parts)" by Julie Ditrich and Wendell Cavalcanti (coloured by Ivan Pedersen)
"The Chain" (Sunday #34) by Lee Falk and Wilson McCoy (coloured by Ivan Pedersen)
"The Chain" (Daily story #265) by Tony DePaul and Bret Blevins
"The Tomb of Zarak" by Pidde Andersson and Giancarlo Caracuzzo
"Fury part 2" by Paul Mason and Amanda Bacchi
Attached are some previews of the stories. This will be a great blend between old and new for the classic fans and those who like new stories.
Attached is a preview trailer video showcasing some of the action we will see in the sequel story by Julie Ditrich and Wendell Cavalcanti (coloured by Ivan Pedersen).
The regular cover is by Daniel Picciotto and will be sold at newsagencies, shops and will be delivered to subscribers. (Note: Daniel Picciotto will be attending Sydney Supanova if you want a signed copy).
In an exciting exclusive, Frew will also be releasing a variant cover by Glenn Ford. The cover by Glenn Ford features a mosaic pixelation effect utilising 2000 Frew covers embedded into the image, which, from a distance, appears to be a texture, but on close examination, you can see the past covers.
There will also be a poster included in this issue in both variants. If you do not attend the convention, the variant cover will be available online for sale.

More information about Pholio #10 set

Thanks to Frew, we can showcase 7x designs by Paul Mason, Jeremy Macpherson, Clayton Barton, Marcelo Baez, Antonio Lemos, Jason Paulos and Shane Foley. (Note: We have been informed that final price and final artwork may change.)
Every pholio set has a theme and this years will be a Phantom friends theme and we will see friends in Joonkar, Rex, Joomba, Lothar, Mandrake the Magician, Flash Gordon, Ms Mist, Guran and a classic perhaps long forgotten character in Captain Byron. Wonder what other friends we will see?
More information on the Giant Size Annual
The Giantsize Annual will be 196 pages and feature a cover compilation of various Giant size characters with glorious artwork by Massimo Gamberi.

This annual will come bagged with a separate comic, much like the replica issue with the regular issue series annuals. This separate comic is the completion of Issue #11, which had been started by the late Paul Wheelahan but was never completed and or published. This story has now been completed by Andrew Constant and Janusz Ordon.
Contents for the 196 page annual is still a secret but we can confirm it will contain a full coloured Raven story by Andrew Constant and Jason Paulos. We are lucky enough to be able to include preview images below of the stories plus the cover of issue #11.
For those who will not attend the event, this Giant Size annual will also be sold at newsagencies, shops and will be delivered to subscribers.
Our thanks goes to the publisher of Frew, Dudley Hogarth and the directors of Frew for this information. Please note that products may change and not be available at the event due to the uncertainty of the market and is beyond our control. Please remember if you are not attending Sydney Supanova, Frew will have these products available for sale on their website after the event.
