The second episode of Phantom 2040: A New Shadow is live on Comics Kingdom , and it delves much deeper into our main protagonist, Carlos Oserio. In this second episode, we find a former soccer all-star player struggling with who he used to be. Gone is the heroic leader, once known around the world as El Fantasma De Futbol . In his place, readers find a struggling young man who wants to keep his head down, lay low, and just do his job. You can read Phantom 2040: A New Shadow Episode 2 here . Written by series writers Alex Segura  and Michael Moreci , with illustrations by John Amor , this episode also introduces us to Mel , a figure from Carlos' past, and Charles Tyrus , the tech magnate villain of Phantom 2040: A New Shadow . We don't know much about either character... yet. What we do know, however, is that Mel and Carlos once had a much closer relationship, though some distance has grown between them in recent months.
