The Phantom at Papercuts Comics Festival (12-14 September 2025)

Since 2019, the Papercuts Comics Festival, held biennially in Adelaide, South Australia, has consisted of various free events that showcase the many different facets of what comics can offer. These events are designed to appeal to readers, writers, and artists alike.

In 2025, popular Frew creator Paul Mason will be one of the Australian guests who will attend. Nicola Scott who has drawn several Frew covers, will also be in attendance and both participating in the Creators in Conversation panels.
Talking Pictures: Friday 12 September 2025, 6:00pm arrival for 6:30-8:30pm

About: Experience comics in a different way at Talking Pictures, where creators will combine art and performance for a multimedia storytelling event. The presenters will each perform a live reading accompanied by onscreen projections of their own art.

About: Learn the secrets of making comics! Alongside this year’s Papercuts market day, four of the 120+ stallholders will each be running a free one-hour workshop in an adjacent space at Adelaide Town Hall!
*The workshops are free but each is strictly limited to 16 participants, and bookings are essential.*
