The Phantom at the 2025 Queensland Variety Bash

The Phantom team ‘car 47’ has participated in the Queensland Variety Bash fundraiser for the past eight years and in 2025, they will be debuting a new car. Their vehicle, the new Phantom Lounge (car 47) is a modified Chevrolet Astro Van.

The 2025 car is different from the 2024 car, which was a circa 1978-79 F100 Ford truck fitted with an ambulance body. Even the bust has been changed for 2025. The 2024 car features the Phan Fare bust and this car features the pokkie topper bust.

In exciting news, the variety itinerary will be going through three states: QLD, NSW, and also South Australia. The tour starts on Sunday 3rd August at St George, QLD and ends Wednesday 13th August at Port Macquarie. You can look at the full itinerary and the dates the cars will be in your town here.

The team on the Phantom car includes Scott Peatey, John Finlay, Zach Peatey, Allen Christensen, Andrew Schulze, Kerrie Le Du, Damon Lynch and Erica Hansch. Attached is a photo with some of them, all featuring a phun Davenport Phantom-themed vest.
