In Phantom 2040: A New Shadow Episode 16, readers are treated to a rich, colorful tapestry of fisticuffs with Charles Tyrus' army of disposable biots. Our new Phantom, Carlos Oserio, plays beat-em-up with Tyrus' henchbots while on his way to stop the tech magnate from siphoning energy from the Ghost Jungle. We don't learn much this episode, but it sure is fun to look at!
George Kambadais really brightens up the episode this time around, ditching the noir style that has been drenched throughout this series in favor of an old-fashioned tussle. While the action takes center stage, writers Alex Segura and Michael Moreci make sure to fill in some of the missing information we're looking for, carefully weaving deeper ties between Fitzroy and Carlos Oserio.
We also learn the name of our new villain! It's Anti-Phantom.
