Review: 'Phantom 2040: A New Shadow' Episode 1

The first episode of Phantom 2040: A New Shadow dropped on Comics Kingdom on Wednesday, September 24th. This is the beginning of a brand new, 20-episode weekly series from Writers Alex Segura and Michael Moreci and Artist John Amor.

In this first episode, we're introduced to Carlos Oserio, who finds himself alone and on the run from an army of gun-toting robots. He's carrying a purple costume, presumably The Phantom's, and is leading the robots on a chase through what we can only guess is the jungle. Carlos runs to the edge of a cliff and is about to meet his end when this world's Phantom (in the Phantom 2040 animated series, it was the 24th Phantom) blasts into the scene, sitting atop a horse that looks very much like Hero.
