KFS celebrates the 90th birthday with a canvas print

It has been great to see many fans and some publishers make a splash for the 90th birthday of the Phantom. Comics Kingdom, an arm of King Features, has released a new product on their online shop, which you can now order from.

The original art is by Sy Barry. The canvas print is crafted from 100% premium cotton canvas and framed with durable poplar wood in your choice of walnut or black finish. It comes in three different sizes (and price points) of 6" x 6", 10" x 10" and 12" x 12". From what we understand, this items is ONLY available for shipping in the USA.

While it is good to see Sy Barry featured on one of their items in the Phantom line, this canvas print to me feels a little neglected for a 90th birthday celebration. It would have been nice to see something else and a bigger splash from King Features (aka Comics Kingdom) as well as some of the other publishers like Frew, Fantomen, and Mad Cave Studios getting into the act. For example, King Features created a cool logo for the 90th birthday, but we have yet to see it on any comics or new Phantom products, which is disappointing. This will be something we discuss in our next monthly wrap-up podcast to be released early March 2026.
