The Inkwell Awards is the only official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organisation whose mission is to promote and educate regarding the art form of comic-book inking, as well as annually recognize the best ink artists and their work.
Bob Almond who has inked several Phantom stories for Team Fantomen is involved with the nonprofit organization. You can follow their work on their social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) or at their website.
From a Phantom perspective, Keith Williams is known for his inking work on the Phantom daily newspaper stories from 1994 to 2005. He also inked the Captain Action crossover series published by Moonstone. During 2008, he also helped friend Bob Almond ink three Team Fantomen stories.
Away from the Phantom. Keith Williams began his career in 1982 as a background inker for John Byrne and Joe Sinnott. For a while he worked at the Marvel Comics editorial offices and was Jim Owsley's assistant editor of the Spider-Man titles. After that, he became a full-time inker on titles like Web of Spider-Man, Quasar, Transformers, Silver Surfer, She-Hulk, The Mask, and Moonstone's Kolchak: The Night Stalker.
