It's been a couple of months since we reported on Mallon's plans to bring a special 85th Anniversary Special edition of their Phantom Diary to us for 2021, but today we can provide you with an update of their plans!
All systems are still go for launch, with the volumes ideally available in time for Christmas this year. Mallon is currently seeking interest then pre-orders to ensure they have base costs covered, then it will be all systems go for this extraordinary version of their classic publication.
As it stands, if everyone who has already indicated interest follows through and orders, they should have enough funds to cover most of the production costs. This will give them a good base to build on. Mallon will then be able to work on final designs, which should help in attracting more buyers. Please note that it will be a limited edition run of no more than 300 copies.
