IKON Collectable's competition to find their next Phantom collectible item has been run and won.
In the end, 53 individuals submitted over 100 unique suggestions, making this competition easily the most popular we have ever run over here at the ChronicleChamber!
Entries came from all over the world - many from Australia of course, but as far flung as South America, North America, Scandinavia and Western Europe. Even some well known Phantom creators - writers and artists alike - got in on the act.
And the winner?
David Hunt, from Sydney Australia, with his idea: "I would like to see the Phantom with Devil; ideally The Phantom has his guns drawn and Devil jumping to help his best mate out."
The team at Ikon who selected the winning entry were taken with this, saying "Ikon Collectibles thought this was a great statue suggestion and will be putting in a concept to King Features for approval in the next week or so!"
As the winner of the comp, Ikon's classic The Phantom with drawn guns statue will be winging its way to David very soon, and he's thrilled about it "Thank you you have made me a very happy man! I am very excited to see the new statue."
It will be very exciting to see Ikon soon producing a fine statue that includes The Phantom's closest companion, his mountain wolf Devil.
