The excitement is building as we edge closer to the May 27 release date of Lightning Strike Comic Books' 2017 publication The Phantom: Scarlet Sapphire.
In the latest news leaked by the Irish publishing company, phans are treated to the first three pages of the story - pictured below:
These opening pages should please traditional Phantom phans, with a classic opening sequence of smugglers being stalked around the docks by a sinister Ghost Who Walks, who removes the roughnecks one at a time. It a promising start by author Stephen Mooney. Meanwhile the cinematic approach taken by artist Robert Carey is compelling and promises great things for the rest of the story.
Pre-orders are being taken now, with publisher Eoin McAuley promising to "ensure that everyone who wants a copy will get one".
