Return of the Phantom

After the success of the 1943 Phantom serial starring Tom Tyler in the lead role, Columbia Pictures decided to make a sequel in 1955 which was to be called Return of the Phantom and starred John Hart. However, Columbia has lost the rights to the Phantom character and so the pilot for Return of the Phantom was partially re-shot and re-named The Adventures of Captain Africa.
This video features the original, unedited pilot for Return of the Phantom. A big thanks to Richard Fry of the Australian Chapter of the LFMBEC for letting us use this video.

An A&E Network created a documentary about the history of the Phantom, produced in 1996. Featuring interviews with creator Lee Falk, actors Billy Zane and Kristy Swanson, directorof the '96 film Simon Wincer, Frew-editor Jim Shepherd, George Olesen, Keith Williams, and president of the US Phantom fan club Friends of the Phantom, that late Ed Rhoades.
Return of the Phantom is quite big to download it but for people may I suggest look for it on youtube and download it with a online converter
