Hello everyone and welcome to the shiny new ChronicleChamber.com. While CC has always been refined with each new year since its inception in 2006, this is by far the biggest change in the site’s history. Everything about the site is brand new with some very exciting new features we’ve never had previously. And we even made it ahead of schedual!

New Features

As mentioned there are many new features on the new ChronicleChamber.com. Here’s a quick rundown of each.

  • Issue listings – While issue listings themselves are nothing new to the site, the way they are now presented is. Visiting a publisher’s page will greet you with thumbnail images of each issue’s cover, separated by series. Clicking on the thumbnail will present a preview of that issue with cover image and basic information. Clicking the View Full Issue Listing link will bring up the issue’s page with all the information we have available for it along with variant covers (please note that Frew and Newspaper Strip listings do not have the View Full Issue Listing option). And, of course, all the latest issues are now available for viewing.
  • Forums – the brand new forums are hosted on our new CC server which means that the CC Team has direct access to all aspects of the forum. Unlike previous forums if anything goes wrong we’ll be able to get right in there and fix it up. Optimised for CC, the forum has been completely redesigned with new layout and icons. It’s the perfect place to discuss your hero.
  • Community Integration – this is the feature we’re most excited about. The CC community is the backbone of this site and it’s now integrated right into the site itself. This allows members to comment directly on news posts, issue listings and articles. It also allows you to talk to other community members via a social network similar to Facebook. You can upload, share and comments on photos, post status updates, follow your friends and much more! Be sure to head over to the Join Us page and sign up!

We’ve worked hard to make the new site as intuitive and user-friendly as possible. I hope that all our visitors – both old and new – enjoy their time here. Feel free to let us know your thoughts on the new site by leaving a comment below, posting on the forums, or by letting us know via Facebook or Twitter.

This redesign has been a big job and often in things like this, one or two bugs slip through. If you do find any broken links or other issues please contact us and we’ll fix them ASAP. Please note that we have also changed our e-mail address. You can e-mail us either via the contact form or directly at chroniclechamber@gmail.com. We have also changed our RSS feed (due to having a new site) so please resubscribe using one of the options under the Follow Us widget in the side menu.

I hope you all enjoy the new site.
Cheers,
Joe MD (CC Admin).

“Thank You”s
This overhaul of CC has been rather a large undertaking and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the following wonderful people;

Thank you to Ben and Jermayn for their advice early in the redesign in regards to site building and coding. Thanks also to Ben, Jermayn and Vivek for their feedback on the site during the building process.

Thank you to the GoDaddy forum team for help and advice in ironing out all those annoying bugs.
Thank you to Sayontan Sinha and his brilliant Suffusion theme and help with custom styling it.
And a very special thank you to Cauterize of RetroCollect for all his advice, support, willingness to answer many e-mails and for creating such an inspirational site.
